Once when we marked Pastor Charles’ birthday as a church some years ago, I participated fully. What I really loved most was the “all expense paid vacation” that we gave him. Before this time, I desired to have a vacation to get out of Port Harcourt and unwind a bit. After Pastor Charles’ birthday, God did just that for me.
About ten days later, my elder sister, who runs a boutique and would often travel abroad to shop for her boutique, asked me to do her shopping for her. That was what I needed. It was supposed to be a working trip, just for a week or less but she said I could take my time and stay as long as I wanted. She paid for the trip, the hotel and every other thing.
I went very light because I didn’t want excess luggage, but I came back with a small bag of clothes and they were all gifts to me. I stayed for ten days and my sister took care of everything. I believe it was because of the joy I had in taking part in making it happen for Pastor Charles.
Mike Murdock said, “What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.” I believe that was it and I look forward to other opportunities.
