29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”
Jeremiah 23:29
10 To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 3:10
10 That the much-fold wisdom of God be known to princes and potentates in heavenly things by the church.
Ephesians 3:10 (WNT)
The multi-dimensions of the Word of God never cease to amaze me. Just when you think you have seen all the angles of the Word of God, then a new angle reveals itself. All the angles are good and in my favour.
The Word of God is a fire and a hammer. Fire burns, consumes, eats up, and expends anything that gets in its way. One of the uses of a hammer is to break up things into smaller, more manageable pieces.
The Word of God doesn’t just have the potency to bring new things to you; it also has the potency to destroy things that are not according to His will for your life. Those things in your life particularly things on your body, or inside your body, that are not a blessing from God will be dealt with by your intake of the undiluted Word of God. The Word of God is like a fire and it has the power to melt away those “undesirables” and cause a godly change in your life, in the Name of Jesus Christ. A fire has the ability to burn down a very elaborate and expensive building in just a matter of minutes. The fire of God’s Word can destroy long standing, well-established, undesirable habits and chronic afflictions in your life.
Also, you can break down those things that have become mountains in your life, using the Word of God as a ham- mer. It is that simple. That is what God is saying to you. Everything that is negative in your life, regardless of how long they have been there, can go away in a moment through the power of God’s Word. Hallelujah! God is not a man that He should lie.
Confession:
God’s Word is a fire and it’s a hammer. His Word has the power to burn away and break down everything that needs to be destroyed in my life regardless of how long they have been there.
