The dictionary describes witchcraft as the practice of magic and sorcery as the use of magic. Magic is described as the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious forces and tricks. One word in that description that tells us that divine healing is not magic is “mysterious.”

There is nothing mysterious about divine healing. What on earth can be mysterious about Christ taking your infirmities and you being healed by His stripes? It’s all about exchange. Jesus “Himself” took what you had and gave you what He has. That’s it! That’s as mysterious as divine healing gets. The minute you believe in Jesus “Himself,” you demystify divine healing. Jesus did everything during His ministry on earth to demystify divine healing, to show us just how simple it is to be healed. He would ask: “Do you believe you can be made whole?”, and when they say, “Yes,” He would say, “Be healed!”, and they were healed.

Many Christians approach divine healing as if it is magic. Magic does not work with principles, but divine healing does. This is the principle for divine healing: the Word of God is your medicine. When members of the Body of Christ talk about healing, I wish we would hear them talk less about the medicines they don’t take, and talk more about the medicine they should take ñ the Word of God. If you are taking medicines prescribed by doctors, know that they have limitations, so the medicine of all medicines (God’s Word) should be working always, behind the scenes.

A person relates with divine healing as magic when they don’t meditate upon and confess the Word of God on healing habitually, but when they have a condition requiring healing, they refuse medical treatment. If you don’t practice the principle of divine healing and you talk more about what you don’t do rather than what you do, you are a sitting duck, a target for the enemy. That is what has happened to a lot of believers who died and people said, “This thing does not really work. I know a brother who really believed God, but he is dead today.” Faith always works. So if it did not work, it was not faith: simple. We cannot judge the person, but one thing we know is that God has not failed anybody yet, and He won’t start now.

God’s Word is medicine to me. He has sent His Word to me and His Word heals me.
