Approaching Crossroads

7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Hebrews 11:7

Noah did something he had never done before, and something that had never been done by anyone before. Building a boat to him then was like turning a complete 180 degrees. It was a more daunting task then, than asking some- one to build a flying stadium today! No one had done it or anything close to it before. God told him to go and build a huge boat in anticipation of the coming rain, even though it had never rained before. The concept that rain would fall was strange at that time, but he knew it was God talking to him, so he stepped out in courage and built the boat.

Many times when you receive direction from the voice of God in the smallest things, it can result in the biggest miracles. The day Noah went to bring the first piece of wood and began to build that boat with people laughing at him, it seemed like a very small step. However, it resulted in the saving of his household, while the rest of the whole world died. Indeed, it resulted in the salvation of the human race.

What do you say when you are at cross- roads? Do you say, “I don’t know what to do next,” or, “In fact, I’m just so confused.” Does that language sound familiar to you? What is God prompting your heart to do? What crossroad are you at? Are you approaching that crossroad with fear or with faith? By faith, you have access into the riches of God’s grace where His direction for your life is concerned. Noah an Old Testament saint was divinely warned and told what to do and he did it. So can you.

Expect to be guided by God.

Confession:
I approach every crossroad in my life by faith. By faith I access the riches of God’s grace for my direction.
