3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

Amos 3:3

As a child of God do you know that God wants to visit you in an unusual measure? Well, there is something that He requires of you. What He requires of you is what we read in the verse before us. If two must walk together, then there must be an agreement. God is saying, “My grace has made the unusual, the miraculous, available to you like you have never seen before. However, for it to work for you, you have to agree with Me.” The blessings will come, the miracles will come, and the abundance will come as provided by His grace, but you may just be standing by, because you did not agree with Him. You have to agree with God even if it looks so dumb and stupid.

“Agree” means, to consent, to accept. When we speak of agreement we are referring to a kind of partnership. God asked: “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” The word “walk” refers to a lifestyle. You cannot afford to agree with God in January and disagree with Him in February, only because it seems as though things were easier in January than they were in February. Then you try to agree with Him in March and on and on like that you go. It cannot be an inconsistent experience; it has to be a lifestyle. You have to walk hand in hand with Him. No wonder the Bible says, we are labourers together with God (1 Corinthians 3:9). God will not do the unusual outside of you. He needs your cooperation.

There are certain ways by which you can agree with God. You must agree with Him in your thinking because everything starts in the thought realm. You must align your thought processes with God’s. When your thought processes align with God’s, it is then you will experience the unusual in your life.

God and I are walking together. I am in agreement with God. I agree with God in my thinking. My thought processes are aligned with God’s.
