14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.

Hebrews 3:14

We have become partakers of Christ. For a lot of believers, “Christ” refers to the surname of Jesus! They call Him Jesus Christ just as they would call me Charles Omofomah. Friend, the expression: “Christ” refers to the Anointed One and His Anointing. Anointing is another word that is largely misunderstood and misrepresented by believers. For a lot of Christians, the word anointing gives a spooky goose bumpy feeling, which is transmitted through the hands of the powerful reverend or bishop, amidst a lot of shouting, at the high point of a service. Sounds familiar? Friend, His anointing is His grace and ability for you to do anything that God has called you to do. Simple! You are a partaker of Christ and by extension, you are a partaker of His anointing. Whenever you mention the word “Christ,” remember that you are a partaker of His anointing.

You have both the Anointed One and His Anointing residing in you. Therefore, the word “cannot,” should be deleted from your vocabulary. God says that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). This is possible because of His anointing. There is this popular song among some Christians, “Oh Lord, come down and manifest your power.” The greatest manifestation of His power occurred long ago at the resurrection and that same power is at work in you. He will not come down from heaven until His Second Coming. Listen carefully to the lyrics of a song before you sing them.

His anointing is upon and in you to do what God says you can do. Friend, how can a boy like I was, so poor that the poor called us poor, ever dream of pioneering a ministry that will affect and change lives around the world. My dream is possible and it is coming to pass because I discovered that I can do all things through Christ of whom I am a partaker. When you know this, you can dream big; you can be courageous enough to receive big visions from God; you can plan to be remembered by future generations for your impact will still be evident even after you are gone. You can do all this because you are a partaker of Christ -the Anointed One and His Anointing.
