34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,
35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.
36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”
1 Samuel 17:34-36
David did the unusual by slaying Goliath. Often times God says, “I am going to do the unusual,” but you say, “I have heard that before and I did not see anything unusual.” I can tell you that that was the very reason why you did not experience the unusual! Rather say, “Lord, I am a target for the unusual, for the miracle, for the supernatural, I’m ready for the new thing that you are about to manifest in my life.” Don’t be content with the testimonies of days gone by. Those testimonies were good but get ready for the new thing that God wants you to experience, in this season of your life.
David’s victories over the lion and the bear were great, but they didn’t stop him from going for more. He decided to make Goliath, the enemy of Israel, the next phase of his victories. He didn’t think small; he thought big.
God wants the testimonies of His greatness to continue in your life. However, in order for that to happen, you will need to align your thinking with God and refuse to think small. Don’t be mediocre in your thinking; don’t think average. Move beyond all mediocrity and being average. Think of the things people call impossible, and with God make them possible. Miracles are the outcomes and testimonies of what men have called impossible, but became possible by the power of God. Miracles are unusual and uncommon occurrences. If they are unnatural then they are supernatural.
Make up your mind to experience things you have not experienced before. You have to live in the realm of the supernatural. You have to see the manifestation of God’s abundance in your life.
Confession: I’m ready for the unusual. I am a target for the unusual, miraculous and the supernatural. I think big and yesterday’s victories prepare me for greater victories that lie ahead.
