3 As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2 Peter 1:3-4
You are a partaker of God’s divine nature. Do not go into the presence of your Father God feeling like a worm, the way a lot of Christians do. Prayers like, “Lord, I stand before you as a worm,” reveal false humility. I have been reading the Bible for quite some time now, and I’ve not seen any part of God that looks like a worm. You are a partaker of God’s divine nature; therefore you are not a worm. You do not even look like one. You are righteous because as a new creation you partake of the divine nature of God. Therefore you look like God.
When next you take a look at yourself in the mirror, talk good about yourself. Say to yourself: “Look at me, I look like God. I look like my Father.” Nothing should be big enough to put you down. Nothing could put God down. When the Devil tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they disobeyed God’s command, fell for the enemy’s lies and fell into sin. The enemy must have been excited as he thought he had successfully interrupted the plan of God for mankind. What a shock it must have been for him when God said to him that woman would bring forth a Seed that will bruise his head. That Seed was Jesus!
God is always many steps ahead of the enemy. He is never put down by any “interruption” of the enemy and neither should you be. Do not expect interruptions from the enemy as you fulfil God’s plan for your life. However, if the enemy does come, resist him, keep your focus on the Word and be assured of the victory in Christ Jesus. You look like God and you are a partaker of His divine nature.
Confession: I am a partaker of God’s divine nature. I look like God, my Father.
